As a broad-spectrum foundation, TCF initiates and supports a variety of programs to benefit both the Biosphere and human activities acknowledging that these entities should be considered and treated as inseparable. From the Arts to ecological research, from the preservation of Wilderness and heritage architecture to the development of affordable, low-carbon footprint housing, the goal of TCF is to integrate human thinking and communities back into a sustainable existence in the Biosphere, while providing individuals with a means of educating, self-actualizing, and thriving within Nature.
Eco-friendly Affordable Housing---Our team of advisors has developed what we believe to be the state-of-the-art in sustainable, low-carbon footprint site development and construction techniques with the highest standard in building materials and earthquake and storm resistant designs. As all TCF housing is built within a non-profit criteria, our goal is to deliver functional, comfortable, environmentally-friendly homes with the best money to value ratio available.
TCF is now seeking funding for housing development for those in need, and our construction training.
We envision eventually embedding affordable housing units within large re-wilded sections of native flora and fauna. These innovative housing areas would include education and fitness centers, community gardens, parks, and alternative energy sources.

Heritage Building Preservation---TCF believes preservation of significant or historic architecture to be essential for a connection to a community's history, while contributing culturally in the present as venues for art galleries, live music, and eateries. Many buildings can be restored to their former aesthetic glory, and can serve as studios, accommodation, and office space. Please inquire regarding buildings currently on our radar. Alternatively, if you know of an architectural gem that needs to be saved, let us know!
International Research Institute--The proposed Kaikoura Climate Change and Biodiversity Institute is to be located at Kaikoura on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. This proposal will involve partnerships between New Zealand tertiary institutions, local Iwi, and universities in the USA, with participation of The University of California System and its many research programs as a top priority.
Kaikoura Alternative Energy---This project will be developed in conjunction with the proposed Kaikoura Climate Change and Biodiversity Institute, but will be designed to benefit the entire Kaikoura District. We are now seeking funding and expertise from our US contacts in order to construct a proposal that addresses and benefits the concerns of the people of Kaikoura and the stakeholders of other projects.
Bird Sanctuaries---TCF is now seeking 5+ hectare parcels to be donated and/or designated as protected wilderness to offset and balance proposed and existing residential and business developments. Of course, the opportunity to preserve larger parcels is always welcome. TCF has a working relationship with eco-minded land surveyors, local councils, and community stakeholders. It is our mission to enhance the ambience and livability of communities by giving areas for Nature to thrive. Monetary donations will also be accepted to be applied to land purchases when these are preferred.
Re-wilding and Carbon Capture Tree Planting---TCF has identified a 38 acre parcel with a stream in the Nelson/Tasman area of New Zealand. It is currently pasture land, but is adjacent to a small forest already designated as QEII reserve. Our acquisition and reforesting of this property would effectively increase this QEII reserve 10 fold and create a continuous habitat for native species. We are seeking donations from the NZ and international communities to save this area for Nature.
Larger Tracts for Nature---We have recently identified two strategically located tracts(~3000ha and 1200ha) for preservation of existing wilderness, research, and partial re-wilding. We are seeking donations to acquire and secure these for Nature and Science Programs for perpetuity. Please, inquire for details.
